1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FortLock, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
FortLock is a local password manager. Your vault is stored on your device and is not synchronized to any cloud service. We do not host, back up, or have access to your vault contents.
The Web Bridge is an optional convenience feature that relays a single credential from your phone to a desktop browser using a short-lived, single-use session.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your master password safe and for maintaining your own backups of your vault. Because FortLock stores data only on your device, losing or resetting the device without a backup means losing the vault it held.
You are also responsible for using the app in compliance with the laws that apply to you.
4. Master Password
FortLock cannot recover your master password. It is never transmitted to us and we hold no copy of it or of any key derived from it. Loss of your master password means permanent loss of access to your vault.
5. No Warranty
FortLock is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, credentials, profits, or access to accounts, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use FortLock.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
